For much of 2000 to 2010, my paintings expressed the joy and simplicity of simple pleasures in the hecticness of our lives. A picnic, a cappuccino or rowing a boat are all pleasures that don’t cost much, and yet give memorable experiences that bring joy into our lives.

 

Summer was my first painting in this series. I held two exhibitions (one solo) under the title 'Simple Pleasures'. The paintings were popular and I sold them at my exhibitions and to private collectors.  I have kept a few of my memorable pictures, so am now able to offer some as prints for everyone to enjoy. The paintings at the end of the series were all sold and were scanned from photographs, so my apologies for the their poor quality. Please note that not all my previous works are shown here as I didn't keep a record of my paintings when I first began.
